Shaker Kitchens

The Shaker movement started in Manchester in the early 18th Century and moved to America later on in the century, known at the time for their strong beliefs in social equality they are now heralded for their innovative design and enduring style. The Shaker design philosophy was firstly to ensure their furniture was practical and then to make sure it was beautiful. What we really love about the shaker design is its utter simplicity, their furniture was unfussy, well balanced and timeless.
